Job & Regain Requests

Post here if you want to request a new Job or a Regain from home! You can do it once every two weeks. Jessie will ask the character to do something in exchange for a Job or a Regain. Because Jessie is overwhelmed with work, she may ask the character to accomplish a quest for another NPC: namely, Cid, Wedge, Biggs, Artemicion or O'aka XXIV.

Jessie does generally ask for things that will help her in her research. Missions given by Biggs will have a focus on fighting and military objectives, whereas those by Wedge will be more mundane and intellectual. Cid's requests will always relate in some way to Magitek or Airship and O'aka's quests will have to do with smuggling and overall illegal things. Artemicion is a wild card, who knows what he may ask. Regains may be refused if they're too large / game breaking / god-moddy.

Remember that there is a limit of five Jobs as to how many your character can hold at once, ten if you unlocked the first skill of Onion Knight. If you plan on taking a sixth (or eleventh) Job, you will have to discard one.

Quest preference: Awkwardly she'd admit that anything that will help her beef up her Blue Mage job with more monster skills would help a lot, but she'll take anything. ...And she hopes he was pleased with their expedition to Roalie since that couldn't have been easy to ask for something like that. When he has some time, she'd like to record his story and his memories of Roalie so that future generations will know about them.

This quest is forwarded by Wedge after a kid approached him. Inspired by their heroic deeds, a Heran child from the Village of Santa Claus would like to make a series of dolls designed after the Heroes of Light. To do so, though, he would need to have access to data regarding the Heroes of Light so he can start producing dolls that look exactly like them. He's asked if he could access the computer that shows what the Heroes of Light looks like. As Wedge doesn't trust Herans around sensitive stuff, even if they are children, Rialynn is tasked with helping the child gather visual data from the Heroes of Light on Palitutu's computer, so the production can begin. The child can take on requests too, as he got many friends eager to make more dolls.

Naminé has also been given this task.

Quest preference: She doesn't say much of anything. Guess that means she's okay with anything! It's her last job request (most likely) so he'd better make it a good one.

Biggs tells Lust to head Aerilon and help escort any of the survivors that wish to leave to safety. The monsters in the area have become much more dangerous, so Heroes are encouraged to go in groups or to recruit allies if needed to form a party of appropriate strength. When she returns, he will give her the Ghostbuster Job.

Pyrrha has also been given this quest.

Last night's heavy snowfall has made it difficult for residents of Aqures Ixen to travel to and from their houses, and he'd do a service to them and the other Heroes by shoveling all of the sidewalks in the residential district. He can recruit any help from volunteers. Once Yuri is finished, he will received the Beastmaster Job.

Johnny D'Amico has also been given this task.

He asks Mikleo to accompany them to the forest, protect them from potential monster attacks, and help in transporting wood back to Aqures Ixen.

If he accepts this task, Mikleo will receive the Warrior Job.

Quest preference: Nothing too physically strenuous or life-endangering. She wouldn't mind something chocobo related since. Chocobo Knight.

A Moogle takes over this request and asks the Hero to go to the Chocobo farms and volunteer to help out with distributing hay, cleaning the stable, checking on the animals, and whatever else the farmer needs. In return, she has to retrieve a Chocobo chick. Preferably an extremely cute one. No reason, kupo. This is part of a larger plan that the Moogles will reveal in time.

Naminé will receive the Chocobo Knight job when she returns.

Wedge tells Ira that the Aqures Ixen Home for Elderly Hypello is looking for volunteers to help with setting up the Starlight Tree and assisting with the annual holiday party. He will have to spend a week of his free time at the Home.

It's the season of given, Wedge explains.

When the week is over, Ira will receive the Scholar job.

A Moogle takes over this request and tells Akane that all the Moogles are so tired of Cid’s grumpiness. SO TIRED. EVERY ONE OF THEM. KUPO. The Moogle hands the Hero a pouch of herbal tea leaves and a baby Chocobo chick. The Hero is instructed to brew the tea, put the tea and the chick in Cid’s office, and make sure nobody else disturbs Cid for two hours. The Hero is warned that the other Heroes are persistent. Seriously, they make requests ALL THE TIME, KUPOOOOO. Save Cid’s sanity to save the Moogles’ sanity.

Quest preference: OOCly anything is fine. ICly she might prefer something travel-oriented since there are a lot of places she hasn't been.

Cid asks Natalia to escort refugees from Aqures Ixen to the Village of Santa Claus so they can reunite with their families. Contamination has driven creatures from their normal habitats into usually safe areas, so it is too dangerous for civilians to travel without a guard.

When Natalia returns, she will be given the Earth Bender Job.

Character: Rialynn Kollmann

Requested Job: Blacksmith
Quest preference: The more action and adventure, the better!

Rialynn is directed to one of the lab assistants. She's getting married in her home village, and she would love it if Rialynn performed at her wedding in exchange for the Blacksmith Job. She would also have to keep guard against monsters and bandits on her way there. The researcher promises to work extra hard when she returns from her honeymoon.

When Rialynn returns from the week-long quest, she will be given the Blacksmith Job.

Quest preference: Whatever Cid needs. This will be her last job request, so she bows and thanks him for indulging her requests after all this time.

Cid hands Akane a bucket full of cleaning supplies and sends her to the Thirteenth District to help clean up the old church dedicated to the Eidolons. Seems in these end times, more and more people have been going in and out of there, and complaining about the disrepair.

Once the church is cleaned up, Cid will give Akane the Programmer job. You can log or handwave this quest at your convenience. Tear has been given the same quest.

When Rialynn returns with the egg, Cid will award her with the Pirate job. You can log or handwave this quest at your convenience. Ira has been given the same quest.

Quest preference: As usual, Natalia insists on doing something beneficial toward their overall goals, but she's learned to be a little more respectful in making her request.

Cid hands Natalia a portfolio filled with various forms in need of filling out. It is not hard, but it is tedious. It’s for the good of the people, though, as many of the forms are for refugee housing requests, approving tax exemption for charity groups, etc. ~~He is not shoving off his work onto the Heroes; this is character-building.~~

Once the paperwork is done, Cid will award Natalia the Water Bender job.

The problem is that they don't have the time or resources for taste testing. K'pandolu has to ask residents of Aqures Ixen by offering different versions of the pastry, asking a series of questions, band organizing feedback, and they have to come up with a name. When 100 people have been surveyed, K'pandolu will receive the Monk Job.

Edna has also been given this quest.
