Mognet

Mognet Explained Mognet is the network for this game. The world of Crystallis relies heavily on magic and while parts of the world are fairly advanced, there is no reliable technological network. Instead, communications go through Mognet, an advanced mail system handled by Moogles! |
How it works As said in the premise, there is a Moogle assigned to your character. Well, this Moogle will handle delivering your character's mail to the recipient, and coming back with a reply if the recipient chooses to write a reply right away. Don't worry, your Moogle will always have enough paper and a pen for you to write. Any character can ask his or her assigned Moogle to take a letter, and the Moogle will make sure the recipient receives the letter within the briefest delay, even if they are very far. Because the Moogles' ways are mysterious, they can deliver any mail within five hours, no matter where a character is. If the sender and the recipient are in the same town, the delay of course is a lot shorter (a matter of minutes). |
Characters who cannot read or write Fear not: Moogles will write letters for characters in their stead if they cannot write. Likewise, they will read received letters for those who cannot read. There may just be a lot of Kupos in between each sentences. |
Using Mognet as a Network It is possible to use Mognet like a regular network, and send a mail to every player character in Crystallis. A character just has to ask his or her Moogle, and the Moogle will go to Mognet Central to duplicate the letter and have it delivered to everyone. Furthermore, at least once a day the Moogle will give their character a review of Mognet activity for the day. Mognet activity will also be posted daily on a notification board in the 3rd, 11th and 14th district of Crystallis. However, if a character replies to the "generalized mail", the discussion will then be private. So, no thread-jacking is possible in Mognet discussions. |
Your iMog can do everything Mognet is not the only thing your assigned Moogle can do! Moogles can also keep the characters company when they're lonely, hold a diary for their assigned characters, and keep key items the characters need. They can even take voice mail — Which essentially consists of the Moogle having to learn by heart the message and deliver it orally to the recipient, with a lot of Kupo. Moogles can come on missions and follow characters during events, though they cannot switch Jobs during events. Basically, a Moogle can do anything. Oh, and of course characters are free to dress-up their Moogles and suggest fur dye to them. Essentially, the Moogle assigned to the character is an OC players are free to do anything they want with, within the limits of what Moogles are. |
