Job & Regain Requests

Post here if you want to request a new Job or a Regain from home! You can do it once every two weeks. Jessie will ask the character to do something in exchange for a Job or a Regain. Because Jessie is overwhelmed with work, she may ask the character to accomplish a quest for another NPC: namely, Cid, Wedge, Biggs, Artemicion or O'aka XXIV.

Jessie does generally ask for things that will help her in her research. Missions given by Biggs will have a focus on fighting and military objectives, whereas those by Wedge will be more mundane and intellectual. Cid's requests will always relate in some way to Magitek or Airship and O'aka's quests will have to do with smuggling and overall illegal things. Artemicion is a wild card, who knows what he may ask. Regains may be refused if they're too large / game breaking / god-moddy.

Remember that there is a limit of five Jobs as to how many your character can hold at once, ten if you unlocked the first skill of Onion Knight. If you plan on taking a sixth (or eleventh) Job, you will have to discard one.

Cid will look at Santa, at the broom in the room's corner, and this'll be as much instructions as Santa will get for his "quest."

Once the laboratory will be clean and shiny, Santa will be given the Time Mage Job. He's sharing this quest with Chrom, you are free to handwave or play it out.

Biggs will actually give the Job to Tsubomi right away, but will ask her to do something with it in return. Criminals have been taking advantage of the large influx of refugees to steal people and commit more petty crime than usual on the streets. If she does that, Cid will give her the Blacksmith Job. You are free to play or handwave this quest.

Quest preference: She's too sick to care. She'll do whatever it takes to get this job so she can be an alchemist.

Cid won't give a quest to someone sick, hence she'll get the Blacksmith Job for free. She may have to take on two quests next time though.

In regards to Palitutu’s ultimatum, Cid believes some preparations are in order so the Heroes of Light can be stronger to face her. There have always been rumors that an Eidolon is hiding somewhere on Cactuar Island. Cid will ask them to go to the Island and look for the Eidolon, and do whatever is necessary to make it available to all Heroes of Light. Should they search every nooks and crannies on the island, they’ll end up awakening Jumbo Cactuar and will have to fight it to unlock a new Eidolon. Furthermore, characters participating in this fight will be able to earn the Jumbo Cactuar monster if they are Beastmasters.

If he does that, Cid will give him the Dragoon Job. This quest has to be logged if you want a new Eidolon to be unlocked and if you want the one-time Beastmaster monster, however it will not be modded so you will have to handle the log on your own. Wedge will send them to the Mythril Caves and ask them to go to the depths where the workers have never dared going before. It is his hope this way, they’ll be able to find perfect Mythril as well as perfect Crystals so Blacksmiths and Alchemists can craft and enhance their armors. Upon reaching the depths however, they’ll awake Dark Titan and will have to fight the corrupted Eidolon. Doing so will allow them to unlock Titan as an Eidolon.

If he does that, he will ask Cid will give him the Programmer Job. This quest has to be logged if you want the new Eidolon to be unlocked along with the precious materials, however it will not be modded so you will have to handle the log on your own. If it is unlocked, the new Eidolon will be added in the July/August Information Post. An airship will take them to their destination and characters not included in the quests are allowed to join, if you so wish.

Character: Shining Armor

Quest preference: Shining is willing to go hunting or monster exterminating, as well as fetch quests. He is aware Cid will most likely ask him to do two tasks, so any combination of fetching, crafting, gathering and extermination will do.

This quest is given to many characters, including: Akane Kurashiki, Rialynn Kollmann, Bartz Klauser.

In regards to Palitutu’s ultimatum, Biggs believes some preparations are in order so the Heroes of Light can be stronger to face her. There are rumors that the Tonberries are holding an Eidolon prisoner, hence he’ll send them to Aqures Tosf. There, they will have to slay Tonberries in an attempt to find or free the Eidolon Cid spoke about. After slaying twenty of them, they’ll awaken Tonberry King and will have to fight it to unlock a new Eidolon. The King will be defended by smaller tonberries that’ll keep respawning but they will be very easy to kill. However, the more tonberries they kill the more powerful the King will grow, up to the point he can one-shot anyone. Furthermore, characters participating in this fight will be able to earn the King Tonberry monster if they are Beastmasters.

If he does that, he will ask Cid to give him the Dark Knight Job. This quest has to be logged if you want a new Eidolon to be unlocked and if you want the one-time Beastmaster monster, however it will not be modded so you will have to handle the log on your own. If it is unlocked the new Eidolon will be revealed in the July/August Information Post. A brigand has blocked the road to the Mythril Mines, which cannot be tolerated as they are about need Mythril more than ever. Wedge will ask them to go and see that this brigand is removed. Upon arriving on the big bride connecting the Continent of Balance to the Lost Continent, they'll spot a particularly ugly and big dog awaiting for them. Gilgamesh will make a spectacular entrance then and proclaim their weapons are his... But will accidentally miss the bridge and fall into the water. After that, he will no longer be seen. You'll have to fight the dog, Enkidu, which will have two phases: first as a normal dog, then as a flying dog that just sprouted wings.

If they do that, they will get their regain. Characters participating in this quest will get the Fake Enkidu pet for their Beastmaster Job, in either its dog or flying flavor. This quest has to be logged if you want the one-time Beastmaster pet, however it will not be modded so you will have to handle the log on your own.

A brigand has blocked the road to the Mythril Mines, which cannot be tolerated as they are about need Mythril more than ever. Wedge will ask them to go and see that this brigand is removed. Upon arriving on the big bride connecting the Continent of Balance to the Lost Continent, they'll spot a particularly ugly and big dog awaiting for them. Gilgamesh will make a spectacular entrance then and proclaim their weapons are his... But will accidentally miss the bridge and fall into the water. After that, he will no longer be seen. You'll have to fight the dog, Enkidu, which will have two phases: first as a normal dog, then as a flying dog that just sprouted wings.

If they do that, they will get their regain. Characters participating in this quest will get the Fake Enkidu pet for their Beastmaster Job, in either its dog or flying flavor. This quest has to be logged if you want the one-time Beastmaster pet, however it will not be modded so you will have to handle the log on your own.
