"I want to get out, Kupo." He paused. "... But don't ask me about Kalki. You have no idea what she'll do to me if I say anything, Kupo!"

"And what are you going to do to me, Kupo? Kill me? Torture me? Go ahead." He shook his head frantically "You-You really have no idea what she is capable of, Kupo."

"You say you are afraid of what she will do to you." She took a step forward eyeing the moogle curiously for a moment before gesturing to those with her.
"But, you know. We were taken from our home. The places and people we had wanted to protect." They were seen as something of legend and Yuna was going to use that if she could. She assumed he might know that death was only a temporary state to most heroes. So she continued keeping her voice low and calm. "You know what this woman will do to you, but do you know what we will do? Are you willing to risk it? When we would do anything to get back home?"
With that she stepped back crossing her arms over her chest and waiting for the little moogles answer.
no subject
"Here's the thing. Right now? Kalki ain't here. But we sure are. So are ya gonna worry more about someone who's off hidin' in the Empire somewhere, or the folks who're all standin' right in front of ya? Keepin' ya locked down here forever ain't hurtin' us none. But since we're all here now, so generously willin' to talk, maybe ya oughta rethink it."
The marshal folded his arms and waited to see if the moogle was ready to cooperate. He actually had no idea what they were going to do about ever releasing their prisoner, but he didn't really care either.

He paused and hesitated, before speaking.
"She--" Another pause. It felt as though he forced himself to speak. "She can manipulate the crystals, Kupo... Even if you hurt or killed me, if she wanted she could find my spirit after my death and-and..."
He stopped talking and tilted his head down, holding his black mage hat and shaking his head frantically.
no subject
"What power has she over the crystals that appeared in town?" he demanded of the moogle. "She cannot...there's no way...!" Whoever -or whatever- Kalki was, she was no god to pluck dead souls from their rest. It had to be a lie. The thought of Tietra's spirit in the grasps of their enemy made the warrior want to strangle the moogle and anyone else associated with that whore-spawned bitch.

Ashelia's rage was even more palpable than before. "You see before you the consequences of your actions, creature. Rest assured that we'll not allow your soul to fall into Kalki's hands. You will, however, wish it so."
no subject
Her voice was calm as she stepped up behind Ramza. "Ramza." She hoped that keeping her voice gentle might defuse the situation but even still she could feel the tension in the room as it builds.
no subject
"She can mess with yer ghost? Get outta here. How do ya know that? You seen her do it, or does she run around threatenin' to kill folks and then drag 'em back from the afterlife?"
no subject
As soon as Ramza was stopped, the Moogle flied to the back of his cell and stayed there. Thanks but no thanks, he could do without being strangled. He listened to what Ashelia and Sparks had to say, but didn't stop shaking his head.
"How do you think we were going to revive King Moggle Mog? She's the one who told us how to do it, Kupo." He flopped down to the ground "Kupo Kupo, she's going to make me into a fiend or airship fuel or worst now..."
no subject
"How. did .she. do. it?" he growled out each word. "I care not what that witch will do to you. I swear, by every God in Heaven and demon in Hell, if she gets her foul hands on Tietra's soul because of your silence, I will find a way to do worse upon you, wretch."
no subject
"The crystals," Ashelia remarked quietly, gathering her thoughts before continuing. "It all comes back to the crystals. The Empire has possession of the Crystal of Earth, no? After Aqures Tosf, the Lady Kalki moved on to the Empire, who would have no qualms funding her research further. She is privy to the secrets of Crystallis. That much we know." She started pacing, one hand going to her chest as was her habit.
"How, though, is not the question that needs answering at the moment." Ashelia looked at Ramza, trying to catch his eye. She wasn't trying to dismiss his question - they would eventually need to know, after all "If what the creature says is true, then I highly doubt she explained the process fully. The clues she's laid for us to find in the past have been threadbare enough. 'Tis something of a pattern."
The more she spoke, the more Ashelia was able to distance herself from her rage. This was who they needed, not the widow sobbing in the town square. "Perhaps a better question is: why? Why did you attempt to summon King Moggle Mog? Why would Kalki support this effort? How did it benefit her?" The queen turned to the moogle after favouring her companions with another reassuring glance, placing a supportive hand on Ramza's shoulder. "What is your relationship with her?"
no subject
The Moogle moved to the corner of the cell and shook his head with every more questions that were thrown his way.
"I'm not answering any more questions, Kupo..." He looked back up at them, looking a bit more determinate now. "You can torture or kill me if you'd like, I won't answer, Kupo...!"
It didn't seem like he had any intention of saying anything else.
