Employments
If you want your character to take on an employment, this is the place to request it. ICly, they'll have to send a letter to Wedge, Biggs and Jessie who will then have their request proceeded and forwarded to the employers for each respective jobs. By default, all Jobs are part-time, but characters can chose to work more than required. All jobs are paid of course, depending on how much time they spend working (except going to school, this is not paid). Some jobs have requirements-- If your character doesn't fit the requirements, they cannot take on the job. Characters can start their own business as well! For this, they'll have to defend their case with the NPCs, who will then decide whether to give them a premise or not. There is a form below to start a business. If you want for your character to be to be hired in a business started by another character, please contact the player of said character. Characters start with the base salary, and every month they can get + 500 Gil (or + 1000 if they participate in the month's event) until they reach the maximum. Unless mention otherwise, each promotion equal + 5 000 Gil to their salary, regardless of the maximum (meaning a Chief Cleaner could get 21 000 Gil a month). For certain of these employments, there may be promotion. It is faster to get promotions if your character was already doing this job back home (for example, soldier). However, everyone can do it. There are requirements to obtain a promotion besides times, namely participating in events and making posts proving your character actually do this job. The Numbers are a total; you need to have six logs total to get the final rank in the military, not six new logs since the last rank. Airship Pilot [12 000 - 25 000 Gil] Description: Characters choosing to become a pilot for Shoopuf Airline better enjoy travelling, because that's exactly what this job is all about. They'll be asked to pilot airships during commercial flights once in a while, and will be stuck in the destination city until the return trip. Details of airships departure/arrival dates are detailed in the monthly information post. Those reaching the rank of Captains have the privilege to be able to use their Airships without following the schedules or itinerary, therefore they can go wherever they want when they want, and of course take what passengers they want. Location: Airships, all over the world. Qualifications: Characters signing-up for this Job need a pilot permit. If they already know how to pilot Airships, they can get it in a matter of days. Otherwise, they can study for it. It can last anywhere from one to three months, depending on how good or bad they are. Characters: [OU] Ales Mansay (Captain)
Blacksmith "Haley's Anvil" Owner: [OU] Albel Nox (founder: [OU] MarKus Haley ( 2hell_weride))Description: Quite simply, a blacksmith. Firstly there's the making of new gear, both for individuals, and for stores to stock. Secondly there's the upkeep of said gear. Maybe you don't wanna get rid of that swanky blue and pink shield you keep, but some other jerk left half a javelin punched through it. Rather than getting a new shield, it can be fixed and restored. Location: Aqures Ixen, border between the 14th and 10th District. Qualifications: Blacksmith Job, IC interviews may be based on an application of forging a sword, gauging time taken and quality of the blade, etc. Please contact the player/character owning the establishment if you want to be hired, then reply here with a regular employment request. Characters: Chocobo Farm Worker [10 000 - 18 000 Gil] Description: Characters signing up for this job better love Chocobos: they're going to have and work with them pretty often. Working at the Chocobo Farm will lead them to take care of other characters' Chocobos and do all sorts of ungrateful farm work, especially as the old man and moogle in charge of the farm don't really work any more. Location: Chocobo Farm. Qualifications: N/A Characters: [OU] Cloud Strife Cleaner [8 000 - 16 000 Gil] Description: The streets of Aqures Ixen are always so clean. Not only the streets, but the castle and buildings as well. It's not thanks to magic, but thanks to people working hard behind the scenes to make it so. And your character can chose to help keeping the city shining. It's not the best job around, but they may happen to eavesdrop on interesting things in a while. If you want your character to eavesdrop on something, please reply to your thread below and we will give you something. It may be meaningless or actually important. You can do this once per month. After a few months, your character may ask for a promotion depending on their experience. Location: Aqures Ixen. Qualifications: N/A Characters:
Cuppa Kupo Owner: Selphie Tilmitt (formerly [OU] Fai D. Flourite ( iscursednomore) )Description: If there is one thing that can help heroes relax when not doing missions and such, it's a good cup of tea, coffee and a nice slice of cake or some other sweet treat. This place is there for that, and to help the heroes gather information sometimes. Plus, moogles in waiter suits. Who doesn't want that? Qualification: N/A. Characters: Mikleo Doc G's Alchemical Concoctions (closed) Owner: Description: A shop selling all manner of potions/elixirs and the like, and offering up Blacksmith/Alchemy job services. Qualification: N/A. Characters: Doctor / Nurse / Healer [20 000 - 32 000 Gil] Description: There are never enough doctors and nurses to take care of all the sick people, of all the wounded and refugees. Characters going for this job better be prepared to see some things they wish they'd have never seen before. But on the bright side, they'll be able to save lives. Healers have a 5 000 Gil bonus, whereas Doctors have a 10 000 one to their salary. Location: Aqures Ixen, Hospital in the 5th District. Qualification: Basic medical knowledge. Fairy Drop Owner: [OU] Tsubomi Hanasaki Description: A clothing store handles two major wants here - the fact that the Heroes of Light no longer need to stick with the basic Crystallis-based clothing and that those within the world can see what kind of clothing the Heroes of Light tend to wear. Also, there's the idea that they can be quite fashionable. Qualification: Being able to sew and being able to handle Erika's energies. Characters: Fairy Spa Owner: (formerly: [OU] Bloom) Description: A spa where one can find relaxation with massages and treatments as well as a hot spring and others things to relax. Moogles will treat you to a relaxing day that you won't soon forget. Moogles will get discounts for being adorable. Location: 02nd District of Aqures Ixen. Qualification: Being a masseurs or similar qualifications. Characters: Fishmonger Owner: N/A Description: It isn't a business proper, it's more a matter of trying to catch fish and sell them to restaurants or stalls or pick and filet fish from stalls and deliver them to restaurants. Location: Near water in Aqures Ixe Qualification: Being able to catch or handle fish. Characters: Dylas Healing Hearts Owner: N/A (former: [OU] Kobato Hanato ( kobatonotdobato))Description: A small business that helps people with whatever problems they might have! Be it a basic there is a cat stuck in a tree to making things to basically being all around helpful. Something you don't want to do, odds are Healing Hearts will! Location: 02nd District of Aqures Ixen. Hero Training Owner: N/A (formerly [OU] Chrom) Description: A facility where heroes can go to spar or get training from those with more experience. After all, the heroes need an easily accessible place where they can train with each other to hone their skills Qualification: All employees must prove their proficiency in the area they would like to train people and be willing to help maintain the facility. Characters: [OU] Duster Item Shop Employee [10 000 - 17 000 Gil] Description: The main (and only) advantage of working in this old item shop, is getting a 50% discount on everything sold in this shop. Otherwise it's a pretty boring job, mainly sitting behind a counter and waiting for non-existent clients. Location: Aqures Ixen, Old Item Shop in the 11th District. Jardin Verdoyant Owner: N/A (formerly [OU] Terra Branford ( greenmagick))Description: A place serving both as an animal/moogle shelter and a flower store! If you need flowers, it's the way to go, especially as the flower shop pays for the care of the animals. Location: Between the 14th and 09th District of Aqures Ixen. Qualification: NA; experience with animals. Library Employee [12 000 - 25 000 Gil] Description: Employees at the library get to sort books, answer very obvious questions whenever people can't be bothered looking for the book they want and most importantly, they get to live in the company of silence. And this, is priceless. Location: Aqures Ixen, Library in the 3rd District. Qualification: N/A Characters: [OU] Sheena Fujibayashi (section curator), [OU] Vincent Valentine
McDuck Bank Owner: [OU] Aoi Kurashiki (formerly [OU] Scrooge McDuck) Description: A bank for characters and natives to store their money, make loans, etc. All money left at the bank grows by 03% after a year! Location: 02nd District of Aqures Ixen. Qualification: Being honest and good with numbers. Characters: Military [15 000 - 30 000 Gil] Description: Characters deciding to become a part of the military will be sent to the Republic of Esdham and given a pass allowing them to board Airships going to Esdham. There they will have to undergo both physical and mental tests to determinate whether or not they're fit for the army. If yes, they will be sent to fight battles against Imperial troops in the region of Esdham and Roalie, on a voluntary basis. These missions can be used by players in logs anytime. Characters getting promotions for this employment will have to specialize in regular military or air military upon reaching the rank of Major. Upon reaching the rank of Colonel, this will change a lot. Army Colonel will have at their disposals a lot of NPC soldiers, a hundred which they can use. Air Colonel have a lot less, but they will be offered command of a military Airship. Colonels get a + 10 000 Gil bonus to their salary rather than a 5 000 one like for other promotions. Location: Republic of Esdham, Aqures Ixen. Qualification: At least one Job aimed toward attack, characters will go through both physical and mental tests. Mognet Employee[10 000 - 23 000 Gil] Description: Delivering mail is something Moogles excel at, but sometimes they just cannot do it. In these cases, characters are welcome to do it in their place-- They'll be a lot slower than Moogles and will have to use Chocobos or Airships, but that's not a bad thing. And on top of it all, the obligatory costume for the job is a Moogle disguise! Location: Either a city (Aqures Ixen) or the entire world. Qualification: Being able to wear a Moogle costume. Characters: [OU] Jaune Arc Honey Delight (former Occult Store) Owner: [AU] Reno ( shinra_dog)Description: A dual Host/Maid Cafe and Nightclub. Anyone can meet with a staff host of their choice for a full hour of undivided attention Location: Aqures Ixen, 04th District. Qualification: Looking for hosts and kitchen staff. Characters: Palitutu's Laboratory [5 000 - 30 000 Gil] Description: Characters deciding to help and investigate what Jessie has left behind are welcome to try. Those working there only occasionally will not be paid, only those working part-time or full time there are getting paid. Characters stacking this will another employment will receive only 1/3 of the wage. Location: Aqures Ixen. Qualification: There are three ways to be qualified to work there: either having previous experience with machines and computers, being a scientist or having the Scholar Job maxed and using it when working. Police / Law Enforcement [15 000 - 30 000 Gil] Description: Aqures Ixen is a place like any other, with criminals and idiots causing chaos once in a while; not to mention a bunch of unpredictable heroes. Characters signing up for this Job are tasked with enforcing law and cleaning the city from crime! ... Well, trying to anyway. Upon reaching the final rank, they'll have authority in Trano Golsaucia, Balicea, Esdham and Flence as well. The higher they are in rank, the more NPCs they have they can command in their police force. Location: Aqures Ixen. Qualification: Characters will go through a physical test and a mental one. If deemed physically unfit or mentally unstable, they will not be admitted in the army. They will also go through a test about Aqures Ixen's laws. It should take about a week for characters to be ready for this test. Characters: [OU] Sparks Nevada (Inspector), [OU] Ramza Beoulve.
Professional Blitzball Player [10 000 - 30 000 Gil] Description: There are Blitzball Teams in every cities and all of them are looking to get the best players. If your character is one such player, then they may just get hired in one of the professional team. Replacement players get a 10 000 Gil bonus to their salary, whereas Permanent players get a 20 000 one on top of it. Location: Aqures Ixen, Trano Golsaucia. Qualification: Being an exceptional Blitzball Player. Characters: [OU] Pyrrha Nikos (permanent).
Psychiatry Office Owner: [OU] Parasraya Purana ( hiddentruth)Description: A place where people can come to seek help if they need to talk of their problems with someone, if they suffer of depression or of various mental health issues. Qualification: Nurses and secretary more than welcome. Characters: School [0 Gil] Description: The schools of Aqures Ixen welcome all children from 5 to 17 years old and follow the basic course. Highly recommended for young children. Location: Aqures Ixen, School in the Eight District. Qualification: Being less than 17 years old. Characters: [OU] Lydia Deetz, [OU] Nanami Kiryu Self-Employed Musician Character: [OU] Johnny D'Amico ( charming_jerk)Description: A self-employed musician alternatively working in bars, for theaters and groups or in the streets. He may earn a some Gils this way along with some screams and a few punches straight to the face. Location: Aqures Ixen The Space Saloon Owner: [OU] Saori (formerly [OU] Barkeep ( forcegalactic))Description: A tavern where residents of Aqures Ixen and Heroes go to relax or spend time with friends. Mordecai has security as one of his top priorities, and using his experience as a saloon owner back home, he will provide quality drinks and small meals. Qualification: Being able to keep yourself from fighting other employees. Characters: Triple Triad Pro League [Varies] Description: Professional league of Triple Triad players! The best players in the city play together and may gain some nice sum of money if they win, and even compete internationally if they become amongst the best in their city. Location: Aqures Ixen, Flence, Balicea, Esdham, Aerillon, Imperial City of Hera, Nabila City and Trano Golsaucia (international). Qualification: Being good enough to compete professionally. Characters: [OU] Chiaki Nanami Waiter / Waitress [10 000 - 20 000 Gil] Description: Nothing to say here really; just working as a waiter in the local pub. On the bright side, characters working there get drinks for free... Which may get them fired if they drink too much. Location: Aqures Ixen, pub in the 11th District. Qualification: N/A Characters:
