Player Name: The alias you go by. Age: Reminder you need to be at least 15 to play here. Personal Journal: Leave N/A if non applicable. Contact: AIM, Plurk, e-mail, whatever else. Other In-Game Characters: Leave N/A if non applicable. Character Name: Name of your character. Age: Age of your character. Please put an approximation if your character's age is unknown. Gender: Whichever gender your character identifies as. Canon: The canon your character is from. Canon Point: The canon point you will play them from. History: A Wiki Link will be enough. Otherwise, please write around 300 words to detail your character's history in their canon. Personality: What traits define your character, what drives them, how do they think? What are their strengths, their flaws, their weaknesses? Please provide us with an in-depth vision of your character-- Of their mind, of how they think, of how they deal with relationships and how they interact with people. Of what they do and for what reasons. We do expect example from their history to be provided when discussing their personality. However, we want to see an analysis of their personality, and not a timeline summarizing their lives. We would like to see around 400 words for this section. Third-Person Sample: Prose sample; it can be from a previous game, from the test-drive meme, from a musebox, from dear-mun or something totally new. All samples should be less than one year old. You cannot use brackets for this sample. Mognet Sample: Write us a letter your character would post on Mognet! Remember characters can dictate letters' content to their Moogle, so not knowing how to write is no excuse not to post on Mognet. Because this sample is set on Mognet, you cannot link a sample from a previous game or musebox. Furthermore, it has to be something written dictated or written by your character, not something the Moogle did on its own. Crystallis Moogle Name: The name your Moogle will have! Moogles are already named by the time they meet the character, but OOCly you are free to choose your Moogle's name. Remember, they're essentially OC you can use and that will stick with your character till the end, so choose wisely. Moogle Gender: Male or Female. First Job: The Job your character will be equipped with. Upon awakening in Aqures Ixen, they will be wearing the default clothing of this Job. Second Job: The second Job they'll be equipped with. If you would rather them not to have two Jobs, leave N/A. Limit Break: Limit Breaks are attacks (or healing/defensive moves, etc) characters can call upon when they're on death's doorsteps. A last resort of sorts. Name and write the Limit Break that your character will have access to. Limit Breaks are independent of the Job system, and can be a power they once had in their homeworld. It can be overpowered, but within reason. • OU / Regular Application For AUs, Game Transplants and OCs, there are different requirements for the personality section. Also, the history section is replaced by other sections • AU Canon Resource: A link to a wiki about the original version of the character and/or the canon they come from. Please write 300 words if no link exists. Alternate History: Write here how the history of this character differs from their canon-self. Again, 300 words expected. Personality: Write the personality of your character in your AU, with the same standards than for an OU app. On top of the expectations we have for regular personality sections, here we also expect to see comparisons made between the original self and the alternate self, pointing out their differences and similarities. Remember, differences and similarities ought to be balanced out in an AU. • Game Transplants Former Game: The game(s) your character was in before. Canon History: A Wiki Link will be enough. Otherwise, please write around 300 words to detail your character's history in their canon. Game History: What happened in your character while he/she was in their game(s). Personality: On top of regular expectations for a personality section, here we want to see how their personality changed and evolved in their previous game(s). We also expect to see examples regarding what happened to them in their previous game to justify the personality changes. • Original Characters World History: The history of the world your character comes from. Please be specific, at least 300 words here as well. Character History: The history specific to your character; again 300 words please. |

Character (Original Universe)
Name: Logen Ninefingers
Age: 30ish
Gender: Male
Canon: Firstlaw Trilogy
Canon Point: The end of Last argument of kings
History: http://firstlaw.wikia.com/wiki/Logen_Ninefingers
Personality:
Logen is a pretty complex fellow. He was a bloody-handed killer and a warrior of exceptional capacity and charisma under Bethod, but he was also a thoughtful fellow who honestly wanted to be a better man by the time of the Firstlaw Books. He tried hard to mentor Jezal, be a good lover to Ferro Maljinn, and a good leader to the Northmen after they made him king. Of the three, the only one he actually managed was to be a mentor to Jezal, who eventually became king of the Union Logen is a very clever man, managing to win over his entire adventuring party, including the nasty old wizard Bayaz, and Jezal, who initially thought he was a shuffling, ugly, stupid barbarian. He is also capable of patience, as winning over his group took months of work and small gestures. LOgen's great flaw mentally is his inability to plan or really have a goal beyond whatever comes in front of him, he's often compared to a leaf in the stream by various other characters, including his best friend and worst enemy Bethod. He deals with the problems in front of him and leaves the rest to take care of itself.
Logen is quiet and compassionate, and generally is willing not to prejudge people and learn what they're about, mostly because his own father taught him to assume everyone is extremely dangerous, so he's not liable to arrogantly dismiss anyone. Bayaz remarked on it when he talked to him while recruiting Logen for his journey south and eventually to the Edge of the World to find the Seed. However... he has a second personality which is far less kind. The Bloody Nine, which is a somewhat unexplained berserker personality that is almost demonic in it's nastiness and love for battle. If he's acting as the Bloody nine he'll stab his friends in battle, or be exceptionally cruel to his allies while leading them, and these episodes are what gave him both his fearsome reputation and a list of enemies as long as a river.
Logen in relationships is very loyal if people are loyal to him. He was happily married twice, and he took care of his wife's children by another man as though they were his own after her death, going so far as to return to a life of being a berserk warrior after having acted as a coward afraid to fight, going by the name of Lamb for at least 5 years. That being said, the Bloody-Nine isn't loyal at all. he almost killed his adoptive kid Ro during one of his bloody nine episodes while fighting to save him from his Dragon People kidnappers, and he did personally kill the son of his ally Crummock Il Phail and his friend and ally Tul Duru Thunderhead during another berserk episode, after Tul Duru picked him up durin battle thinking he was wounded.
Logen isn't very comfortable in civilized society, and will gawp with confusion and ignorance at things like indoor toilets and fountains regularly, reinforcing the idea that he's a stupid brute, when in fact it simply is unfamiliarity with such niceties, as he's from a very savage land that doesn't bother with that kind of frippery. When he went south to Adua, capital of the Union, he made bad impressions with the locals by being confused by the fountains in the Marshal's square, and was utterly confused by the function of a toilet style structure in the Tower of Chains where he was residing as a guest. He can barely sleep in a bed, and prefers to sleep outside on a ledge or the ground when he can, though he eventually was noted to have gotten more used to it. He's lived rough and slept rough for most of his life, barring his two periods of marriage and relative peace.
Logen is a good judge of warriors, and a decent commander, capable of leading by example when he is in control of himself, or by fear, if the bloody Nine is in control. He's not much one to wait for an attack, far more likely to charge and try to break it, and he rarely delays doing what he think needs to be done, quoting his father "better to be done a thing than live with the fear of it." He led a group of the most feared Named Men in the north, and more or less united it all under the flag of Bethod, his former friend and greatest enemy. Not only that, every one of those Named men was defeated by him in a duel.
Logen, while capable of kindness, can also be very ruthless. He once killed a youth who was trying to shoot him with a bow who was maybe 12 or so, because the youth was trying to string another arrow and shoot him. When it comes to a fight, he'll finish it, and finish it deadly every time. This is part of why he's so hated wherever he goes, that and the sadism of the Bloody Nine, who killed the son of a man he killed in a duel and nailed him to Bethod's War-banner simply to intimidate people. He was very kind to both Jezal after his face got smashed in a fight during their journey together, and in dealing with Ferro's hostility, anger, and distrust, eventually winning her over to the point where they became lovers. He was utterly gentle with his adopted children Pit and Ro, to the point where they couldn't believe the killing machine who came to rescue them was the same man.
In the end, Logen's the kind of person who really is trying to be a better man than he was, but his own darker nature as the Bloody Nine constantly gets in his way, and the only consistent thread in his life other than his ferocity in battle is his constant attempts to escape conflict, first going to the South to help Bayaz, and then into the Far Country where he almost succeeded, until Caul Shivers caught up with him.
Third-Person Sample: The river from the northern lands is more like a brook, here. Babbling and quiet even as the spring ice-melt flood the banks a bit. Plenty of things have been seen floating down-stream. Fish, branches, once even a sword. But today something different floats down the stream. A man, hard-bitten, scarred and dark haired, dressed in the tatters of what might have been regal furs for a man of the north, and bloody. He crawls onto shore, shudders, rolls over, and vomits up water for a while, sitting down and clutching his stomach, and says, as if to himself.
"Still alive. Still alive, Still Alive."
He lays back, arms splayed out, utterly spent by whatever ordeal he has just gone through. No knives, no pot, boots are soaked and maybe a little rotten. Still "A man's got to be realistic." He muses to himself, as he looks over a body that is still more or less in one piece, and realizing he's unlikely to die of a broken bone or rotten cut anytime soon. Starvation and cold are his enemies, now. And you can't kill those, even though they can kill you. You can beat them... with luck, and effort. HE groans, and looks around. Time to make the effort.
And with that he stands, shifting his torn coat around him, and shrugs into it. NO time the present to start walking, and one direction is as good as another, as long as it leads away from the river.
Mognet Sample:
Uh, well I guess I'll start by addressing what this Moogle is babblin about. I am no kind of hero. Hell, my names one of the blackest ones in the North. The Bloody-Nine. So don't go thinking I'm here to save the world, even if I'm trying to be a better man. You have to be realistic about these things. Sometimes the only thing you can hope for is to stay alive.
I reckon there's some Named Men out here, or maybe some Carls or other folk. I'm not much good for anything outside of a fight, or going through rough times and places, but maybe there's something for me to do. You say you've got monsters, right? If they're anything like the Flatheads, I can deal with them, even if I'm scared, it's a way to do something, and fill my belly. I'm not too proud to do that, if need be.
Crystallis
Moogle Name: West
Moogle Gender:Male
First Job: Warrior
Second Job: N/A
Limit Break: The Bloody Nine Logen enters into a Berserk-esque state, though he's in control of his actions, his attacks aren't random, but rather, EVERYONE STILL LIVING AND NEARBY is his enemy. He'll start killing from the nearest person to him and keep going until everyone is dead, has ran away, or he's completely exhausted. His speed, strength, and physical endurance are enhanced while in this state, and his already ferocious combat skill is improved by sense of absolute fearlessness. Logen no longer fears death when the Bloody Nine takes over, he IS death.
