You mention that fourth-walling and specific knowledge of the Final Fantasy series is banned, but would it be acceptable for a character to just be sort of generally 'genre/trope savvy?'

Essentially, would someone who has played or is otherwise familiar with console RPGs be able to recognize certain themes about job classes and stuff like that as long as they don't go 'oh, this is from a Final Fantasy game?'

And not in a way that assumes any sort of specific knowledge about the setting that the character wouldn't have, obviously. Just a general sort of 'hey, this reminds me of something I've seen before somewhere else.'
