1. As a general rule, characters whose bodies are made out of non-solid substances, immaterial or abstract concepts (such as chaos) or metal (androids) will become completely human upon arrival, or at least they will take upon the closest organic form. They could, however, go back to being entirely "chaos based" during the duration of their Limit Break.
2. Because they count as power/ability, Lumina's teleporting would be removed as would Terra's esper transformation. However, they could get them in the form of a Limit Break (like in Dissidia, for Terra's case) or regain them through Jobs (an upcoming Job will have a focus on teleportation). Because with Nanaki it is his physical form, he would remain a wolf.
3. Shelke from Dirge of Cerberus would be a special case. She would feel as though she is constantly receiving the dosage of "Mako" she needs to survive, though at the same time it would feel slightly different from Mako as it exists on Gaia: raw, unrefined, alien.
4. Yes. Characters are depowered to human-level, but they retain all physical traits specific to their species (unless said traits become an impediment when depowered, in which case they can be removed).
5. Animalistic aspects would be physically retained, but their prowess would be diminished. For example, someone with wings would be able to fly, but short distances only. Exception would be if they cannot move by any other means than flying, in which case they would keep the ability to fly without any difficulties a few feet above ground level. Fancy hearing would be diminished as well, but would remain above that of normal humans.
A fish person would be able to swim faster than a human, but whether they would be able to swim as fast (or even faster) than they did back in their homeworld would depend on whether they would equip a Job giving them the physical strength to do so. Fish person equipping Black Mage + White Mage might not be physically strong enough to swim very fast. Fish person equipping Warrior + Monk would have enough strength to possible swim faster than they did back home.
Their ability to breath underwater would be left intact though.
